# Can I edit a soft credit?

Yes, you can edit the information listed in the soft credit grid when you edit a transaction. Note that the information defaults to the same as the original transaction, except for **Tax Deductible Amount**, which should be zero or null. Once you click **Save**, the changes will be updated data on all related screens/grids.
