# What are the payment types?

The payment types reflect how transaction was paid, for example Cash, Check, Credit Card, or Online-ACH payments. You have the ability to add, edit or delete these payment types while creating a gift by selecting <New/Edit>. You can also sort and filter for the different payment types on the Transactions grid within the Transactions & Invoicing Module.
