# What does default address mean?

The default address is the primary address for a constituent. It will always be listed first in their profile and will be highlighted and outlined in blue. This is also the address that will be shown on the constituent grid and the address used in the merge fields.

To identify or change the default address, check the box next to **Make Default Address** and click **Save** to save the change.
