# What is an In Kind Pledge Payment?

An In Kind pledge payment is the entry to record the fulfilment of an In Kind pledge. For example, an accountant made a pledge to provide accounting services. When that service is delivered, it is recorded as an In Kind pledge payment.

You will record the transaction as a Type In Kind Pledge Payment. Once the type is selected, you will see the option to select which In Kind pledge this is fulfilling under the **Pledges**dropdown. You will also enter a **Description of Payment Received**to provide the details of what was actually provided. Description of Payment Received is a column available for sorting and filtering on the Transaction grid for reporting.
