A matching transaction is when one or more constituents make a contribution or purchase from your organization, and another constituent, often the original constituent's employer, matches all or part of their transaction by making their own contribution. For example, Allison Jones' employer, Central Bank, matches transactions made to organizations who provide educational services. They match those contributions 1:1. So if Allison donates $100 to your educational programs, Central Bank will match that donation by also making a $100 donation to your organization.
