The Primary Contact is considered the first person to sign up for a multi-member Group Membership for your organization. For example, in a Group Membership, the person or Organization signing up multiple constituents within a single membership transaction would be considered the Membership Owner. On the Membership grid, there is a column that will display the Primary Contact’s name on the membership row.
