The Monetization tab under Email Marketing Overview allows you to see the effect of your email campaign in a financial way.
When a member makes a transaction such as purchasing an event ticket, renewing a membership, or buying an auction item, etc. the transaction will be included in the monetization calculation IF the donor was included in the email campaign which included a link to the specific AssociationSphere page.
The monetization occurs when a transaction is posted AFTER the email campaign was sent out and the donor was included in the email campaign. Prior donations, event ticket purchases, etc. will not be included on the Monetization tab.
An email goes out on 2/10 at 3 pm to 5 people (person A, B, C, D & E) and includes a link to Donation Page 1.
Donations made via Donation Page 1 by person A, B, C, D or E after receiving the email, will be monetized.
These transactions will be included:
Person C donates using Donation Page 1 on 2/14 at 10am
Person E donates using Donation Page 1 on 2/10 at 5pm
These transactions will NOT be included:
Person A donates using Donation Page 2 on 2/13 (different donation page)
Person B donates using Donation Page 1 on 1/31 (before email was sent)
Person D donates using Donation Page 1 on 2/10 at 1pm (before email was sent)
Person F donates using Donation Page 1 on 2/15 (person was not on email list)
Person A buys an event ticket on 2/14 (different page and type)
Results will compile in the Overview section under Monetization, as seen in the image below.
