For any Constituent who you need updated credit card information for you can now direct them to a secure online form to capture that information. Within a Constituent’s profile navigate to their Payment Options tab. Just under the “Credit Cards” title you will find two green buttons “Send Updated Request” and “View Update Link.”

Within a Constituent’s profile navigate to their Payment Options tab. Just under the “Credit Cards” title you will find two green buttons “Send Updated Request” and “View Update Link.”
The first is “Send Updated Request”, this button will allow you to send a direct email to this constituent containing a link to a secure form for credit card capture. After clicking the “Send Updated Request” button a Direct Email dialog window will launch. Here you will be able to input and customize the email you will be sending out using the following fields.
Email From Display Name – What name should this email look like it was sent by
Email From – What email address should this email look like it was sent by
Subject Line – What should the subject line of this email say
Email to Primary Email – The email message will only be sent to this Constituent’s
default email address.
Email to All Emails – This email message will be sent to all the email addresses under this Constituent’s record, both Default and Other addresses.
Email Body – What should the email say, by default the email will include a link to the secure credit card capture form. If this link is not in the body you can switch to the “View Update Link” option and copy the URL.
Attachment – Select any document you wish to include with the email message.
Once each of those fields have been completed you can click the green “Send” button to send the email out or click “Cancel” to close the window without sending the message.
The second green button, “View Update Link” will allow you to customize that secure form with messaging and input who should be notified via email if a Constituent updates that card. The bottom of the Credit Card Update dialog will show the URL you can use to capture this Constituent’s credit card. Please note that the URL will be different for each Constituent. This URL will be inserted into the direct email used with the “Send Updated Request” action.
