Like other grids across the software, the Survey/Forms Results page allows for the creation of Custom Views. This feature lets you customize the grid by choosing which fields are visible or hidden and adjusting their order. Custom Views can also include any filters you've applied, as well as your selections for the Survey and Display Option.


Picklists and Display Options

Above the grid, there are three dropdowns:

  1. Category

  2. Survey

  3. Display Options



  • The Category picklist allows you to narrow down which surveys appear in the Survey dropdown. When setting up a survey, you can assign it to a category to help organize related surveys. While selecting a category is optional, it can make it easier to locate the desired survey.

  • The Survey picklist lets you select the survey whose results you want to view. Once selected, the corresponding results will appear on the grid.

  • The Display Options picklist controls how those results are shown. There are currently four display modes available:


Display Option Descriptions



  • Summary
    Displays line charts for questions with preset answers. This view highlights the popularity of each answer but does not show responses to open-ended or custom-input questions.

  • Detailed
    Presents each question and its response in individual rows on a grid. Each row includes:

    • The question text

    • The selected answer

    • Details about the constituent who submitted the response

  • Detailed Long Form
    Condenses each survey submission into a single row. Each question becomes a column, with answers listed under their respective columns. Constituent details are also included on the grid.

  • Drill Down
    Allows deeper analysis by enabling users to:

    1. Select a question with preset answers

    2. Choose a specific answer

    3. Drill down to a secondary question

    4. Continue filtering to find patterns across multiple questions

  • This option helps identify similarities and trends in responses across multiple layers of the survey.


Available Tools & Actions

Depending on the selected display option, you can perform actions either inline on the grid rows using the Tools menu or in batch using the main Actions menu above the grid.

  • Run background checks

  • Review individual survey responses

  • Delete responses


Batch Actions (under the Actions menu)

  • Create Email Lists

  • Perform Batch Updates

  • Send Direct Emails

  • Send Text Messages (requires a separate subscription)
